yeah, i went to check out the website after ja mention about Diya. yeah... and I'm supporting her... cos she's from HC, she's yc's fren, she's my tuition fren (though i dun really know her), and I think she's good.

p.s. I saw a few famous Liverpool FC footballers in the hospital today! We were having teaching in one of the wards when these fit young men playing santa came along to distribute Christmas gifts and take photos with the kids (I'm doing my paediatrics rotation at the mo). A pity I don't watch very much football so I had no clue who those men were (I heard that one of the guys was called Zenden? Anybody knows who he is?). Apparently other footballers like Steven Gerrad were around too, but I seriously couldn't be bothered to go around the hospital star-gazing! Oh well... maybe i'll have better luck next time-- not that I believe in luck la.
Jacinth strikes again!
Well well... so it's been a pretty tough decision-making period of my life this past month. First up was trying to decide on a topic for one of my critical thinking module that will need to be completed over the next few months... then it was having to choose the hospital that I wanted to be placed in next year... and now I really need to sit down and think hard about where I wanna go for my elective come June 2007. Too many deadlines= a very stressed Jacinth. And so, that was the perpetual state I was in for the past 4 weeks or so... and I'm only just recovering from the impact of it all.
Ooh, and do you know I egg-cited I was to find out that one particular Tan Diya from HCJC alum made it to the top 24 in project superstar 2?? Haha... I was really missing Singapore TV one fine day and thus went channel U website a-surfing (Ok, sad I know...), and boy was I shocked to see her name and face on the PSS2 page! Mmm.... I don't really know her personally at all, but that bit of my hwachong pride managed to sneak out and I feel happy for her! Youtube has also worked wonders in keeping me in the loop of what's happening in the competition. (: To be very honest, I think Diya's prolly one of the better singers amidst the numerous superstar wannabes.
Oh, and I managed to catch up with Yinky (you know, my SN cum 02S76 friend) while she was on exchange in King's college! Went down to London over one of the weekends and boy was it fun catching up with her OUTSIDE OF SINGAPORE! It was absolutely fab just being able to indulge in non-stop incomprehensible singlish all over again!!! (: We also went to watch Les Miserables at the West end theatres-- possibly the BEST musical I've seen thus far (along with Miss Saigon). Haha... I was so so so pleased that I could finally satisfy my hunger for more musical watching... but it really is an expensive hobby!!

Anyway, I could go on and on about London (well... I think it was the company that made it great... more so than the place really), but I won't cos that'll prolly bore you to death... So I'm going to talk about my birthday!
Well, the birthday kicked off with an amazing start. Mum rang me up that morning (as in very late the previous night) to wish me and even sang me a birthday song! Shortly after we hung up, dad called and sang me another birthday song! Then after I put down the phone, my housemates turned off the lights in my room and presented me with a beautiful candle-lit cake whilst serenading me with the "Happy Birthday" tune for the 3rd time in a row! It was really really awesome!

The next morning and afternoon were spent entirely in hospital speaking to patients and getting taught... but I did get numerous texts throughout the course of the day-- all brimming with well wishes for my milestone 21st birthday. In the evening, a select few (mainly the people I'm closest to) were invited to join me at my birthday meal at a REALLY POSH Japanese restaurant called Sapporo Teppanyaki. I tell you that place is AMAZING. As the name reveals, it's a teppanyaki restaurant... so the chef cooks all your food in front of you. But the bit that makes this place different is that the chefs cook for and entertain you all at the same time. They juggled knives and forks, tossed eggs into the air, made me scream when one of them squirted fake chilli sauce on me, told you to open your mouth WIDE whilst making you catch bits of food that they tossed into it... As the birthday girl, a lot of the fun was directed at me and BOY did I love it. Everything was just so spontaneous, so funny, so exciting. The food was totally mouth-watering too, but I reckon that only 60% of the reason why it tasted so good was cos of what the chefs were able to cook up... the other 40% definitely stemmed from the happiness that you get from watching them do their thing. It was truly a night to remember.

Vivocity
The thing about Vivocity is.. there's a lot of really cool shops that you don't find them in Orchard. Even shops like Tangs have things that aren't in the orchard outlet. So, in a way, it's rather unique. But if you're looking more of streets wear/casual stuff, I think it's quite hard to find it over here or maybe more pricey??
Anyway, I took the opportunity to go up to the garden at Vivo.. Cool.. But it's really quite similar to the one in Esplanade.. jus that, we can see KS' "best" fren from the garden!!


That's Sentosa from far! Okay, my phone camera sux. But I was just entertaining myself... Oh by the way, the monorail is working already!!! or do you guys already know that? My news shld be quite outdated ba~.. considering... I haven't gone out for quite some time. Like, I didn't know Heeren changed abit, Wisma change quite abit.. and... I didn't know blah blah ...

This is taken from the top of Vivocity. Basically, it's jus a garden. And it's not yet completed. On the bright note, water looks bluish green rite? at least it looks nicer than those at ECP! Yuck! I wonder if it's real.



Last but not least, it's the Holiday Season again!!!! Oh well... lets make do with a pseudo snowman in our hot singapore. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!

She continued by saying it's so low that I just miss the mark of being anaemia (I think).
Freak....
But she passed me on the medical examination... although she did put a side note on the paper I'm supposed to submit to the company.
FReak... Better pass. I dun want to stay in school one more sem...

Pencils

I like this. I copied this from my Reason and Persuasion blog. hah.. It's supposed to say.. remember to bring your pencils for the exams!
Anyway, I think it's drawn by my lecturer. Cool rite? hah.. Anyway he got so many nice drawings that I enjoy looking at his notes (slides)...
